Kent’s Olympic Torch relay route

The Olympic Torch will start its journey around Kent’s towns on July 17, ten days before the Olympic Games opening ceremony.

Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, Dover, Ramsgate, Canterbury, Maidstone and the Medway Towns are just some of the places Olympic torchbearers will pass through carrying the flame.

Below is a map of the streets included on the route. Scroll down below the map to see the estimate time of arrival in your town. Please note the route times are subject to change.

An experiment with liveblogging software Ocqur

New liveblogging software Ocqur
A couple of weeks ago I signed up to beta test Ocqur, a new liveblogging platform created by university students Joseph Stashko and Jonathan Frost.

I received my invite to start using the software last week and couldn’t wait to try it out. Having used ScribbleLive in the past while on work experience at MSN News and being a journalist keen to experiment with new equipment and tools I was looking forward to trying out Ocqur.
